No photograph of Koiripur from before 1990 exists in any public collection. What survives is in family albums, on shop walls, in school records and in studio negatives. The original never leaves you — we scan it where it is, and leave a copy with you.

Before recording, a bilingual consent form covers the audio, the photograph, the transcript, the translation, the publication scope and the right to withdraw later. The consent itself is recorded as the first thirty seconds of audio. The conversation happens in your own space, in Hindi or Awadhi, and you may stop, skip a question, or withdraw afterwards.
