The open web holds remarkably little about Koiripur: a census figure, a PIN code, a station code, and a poet’s birthplace. Not one historic photograph of the town was found in any online collection.
This archive exists to close that gap honestly. What is verified is written as verified, what is reported is written as reported, and what has not been found is left empty. A small archive that is trustworthy grows. A large one that is not, does not.

Conflict 01 · Population
Census 2011 tables show Lambhua tehsil containing exactly one town, with an urban population of 8,927 in 1,294 households — that is, Koiripur Nagar Panchayat. But the English Wikipedia article on Lambhua describes Lambhua itself as a nagar panchayat of 8,201, a figure village-directory sites attach to Lambuaa village instead.
Resolution path: pull the Census 2011 Town Directory (Class VI towns, Sultanpur) and the UP Nagar Vikas notification list. Until then the site publishes “about 8,900 (Census 2011, urban unit of Lambhua tehsil)” with a footnote — never a bare “population: 8,927”.
Conflict 02 · Tripathi's district
Most Hindi literary sources give Ram Naresh Tripathi's birthplace as “village Koiripur, Sultanpur district”. At least one widely-shared English account places Koiripur in Jaunpur. The confusion is explicable: he attended high school in Jaunpur district, and Koiripur sits close to the Sultanpur–Jaunpur boundary on the Jaunpur road and rail line.
Resolution path: the Sultanpur District Gazetteer, Hindi Sahitya Sammelan records, and any surviving school or land record. Site wording: “born in Koiripur, then in Sultanpur district”. The Jaunpur variant is flagged in a footnote rather than deleted.
Conflict 03 · Railway traffic figures
Four commercial rail-booking aggregators give four different train counts for Koiripur (KEPR): “approximately 2”, “a total of 4”, “22 trains”, and “59 trains”. None cites Indian Railways. Several also carry boilerplate calling KEPR “one of the busiest railway stations”, which is plainly false for an NSG-6-class halt.
Rule for the site: never cite an aggregator for a number. Use only the Indian Railways NTES / Northern Railway Lucknow Division timetable, dated at the point of citation (“as of the 2025–26 working timetable”). Otherwise say “a small number of passenger and MEMU services stop here” and leave it unquantified.
